The new BlackVue DR590-1Ch is a simple front facing camera system from BlackVue. The DR590 can have a GPS antenna added to it to provide court admissible video evidence that shows the vehicles location and speed information.
The BlackVue DR590 boasts a 2.1MP Sony STARVIS CMOS image sensor that records in full HD 1920 x 1080P resolution at 60 frames per second. The DR590 has an 139° wide angle lens and high quality image sensor ensures that a clear view of any incident is captured, even in low-light areas.
The BlackVue DR590-1Ch has three recording modes and will automatically switch between them depending on what is happening with the vehicle.
Normal Recording- When the ignition is switched on the camera will boot up and go into Normal mode, it will stay in this mode until the camera detects an incident or the ignition is switched off.
Event Recording-The second recording mode is event recording, when the camera's G-Sensor detects a significant change, a 60 second video file will be created and saved in the event section of the memory.
Parking mode- The DR590 will go into parking mode after no movement has been detected for a period of time. Video files are only saved in parking mode if movement or an impact has been detected.
The BlackVue DR590 when used with the additional GPS antenna will have the vehicle speed and location information overlaid on the video footage. By having accurate speed and location information your video footage becomes more reliable.
